Ulama Institute’s Refund and Payment Policies
All the purchases and payments on Ulama Institute’s platform are regulated by these refund and payment policies.
PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY, this refund and payment policies will help you to make a better decision about your payments on the Ulama Institute platform.
You acknowledge:
-Ulama Institute is not a bank or any type of financial institution, we do not provide any financial services or advice.
– The money and fees that transact on our platform or stored in the Student fund are not insured deposits
– all the payments that are processed and made via Ulama Institute is a payments only for the educational purposes between the Student and the Instructor.
-Such payments may not be made and used for any fraudulent, criminal, or illegal activities as defined by the law.
1- Key Terms and Definition
Lesson fees (Instructor’s hourly rate): the amount of money per lesson, that will be paid by the Student to the Instructor
Services fees: the Ulama Institute platform fees due and payable to Ulama Institute
Payment methods: This means the chosen payment method or services that are available on our platform to process and deliver the money from you (Student) to the Instructor. For example credit card, PayPal, debit card, or others.
Payout: it’s the Instructor lessons fees that get to be sent after the services fees collections.
2- Lesson and courses contract
After searching for the preferred Instructor, you can sign up for their lessons or courses. That will depend on the Instructor setup and agreements on the Instructor profile. Ulama Institute is a facilitator and not in any form is part of the contract between 2 parties. The Instructor has the complete and independent freedom to choose their prices, curriculum, style, and much more as they like according to the privacy policy and Terms of services of Ulama Institute.
Tutor-Student contract
Ulama Institute facilitates contracts between users (Students (their parents) and tutors) by supplying a platform to request, deliver and pay for such Services.Ulama Institute is only a platform and in no case will be a party to any contracts made by tutors and Students, or any other service or materials provided by a tutor.Ulama Institute in no way is responsible for monitoring any transactions between Students/parents, and tutors.
The Student and Instructor each agree to act with good faith and fair dealing in the performance of the Lesson Contract.
3- Instructor policies

3.1 accepting the Student enrollment
By accepting the Student’s request for a teaching package or course according to your profile, you agree to provide the lessons to the Student. The Instructor has the complete freedom to not accept the Student enrollment without explanation or reasons.
3.2 Cancellation or not show up of a lesson
The teacher is solely responsible to show up for the Student’s lessons, and if for any reason the Instructor never shows up, he/she comes up with an agreement with the Student either to make up the classes or refund the lessons of a specific amount.
The Instructor agrees that the Student can cancel or request a make-up class for up to 2 hours before the class, otherwise, the student is liable to be charged or formal agreement to make up class.
3.3 commissions fees
Ulama Institute collects commission fees according to the contract agreement for the successful completion of lessons at the end of every month. NO commission will be collected from the Instructor in the case of refund, cancellation, and dispute.
3.4 Instructor Payouts
The Instructor receives their payout payment for their successful courses and lessons by Students specified day of the month. To be able to transfer the payout to the tutor’s preferred account, we use third-party payment services ( PayPal, Stripe) for the secured transactions. Please read more about the privacy and security of such transactions in our Privacy Policy.
3.5 NON-CIRCUMVENTION
The Instructor shall not anticipate or engage in any action or activity that results to circumvent the Commission Fees.
Such as but not limited to the following :
(A) suggesting, soliciting, or accepting payment outside of the Ulama Institute Platform, or by other means other than through the Payment Services; or
(B) listing an inaccurate price for a Lesson on your profile or Ulama institute store and Platform, or charging a fee for a Lesson that is different from the amount agreed with the Student.
3.6 Delay payout fund
In the case of delaying the payout fund to the Instructor sometimes has something to do but is not limited to some sort of breaking the Ulama Institute Policies or Terms of services. As we try our best to provide the best platform for Instructors and Students, we will do our best to avoid any action that has results or will result in disputes.
If Ulama Institute concludes that an Instructor has violated the Ulama Institute Terms of services or the platform Policies, Ulama Institute may refuse to payout and hold the funds to the Instructor till further notice or never.
3.7 Instructores shall be solely responsible for determining their applicable tax-related duties in connection with the income obtained from their education Services and shall also be solely responsible for remitting to the relevant authority any applicable taxes that need to be paid. Ulama Institute cannot and does not by form offer tax-related advice to any Members.
4- Student policies
4.1 Each Student must fund the class amount as priced by the Instructor in the store.
4.2 When you use the third-party payment you may be charged additional fees that provide the applicable Payment Method. Ulama Institute has no control over those payment fees and Ulama Institute disclaims all liability in this regard. Whatever Payment Method you use may be subject to additional terms and conditions, which we recommend that you review before using such Payment Method.
4.3 The Student has the option to cancel and refund the entire subscription class up to 2 hours before the class time with a%100 refund of this particular missed class Or otherwise agreements to make up class with the Instructor.

5.1 Security
Ulama institute preserves the right to impose a limit or number of limits on any Student or Instructor account and transaction for security measures. We may impose those limits before, after, or anytime the services, once we spot a recognizable reason that causes threats or fraudulent to the security and the integrity of the platform
5.2 Prohibition Chargeback and Friendly Fraud
“Chargeback fraud”, also known as “friendly fraud”, occurs when a consumer makes an online shopping purchase with their credit card, and then requests a chargeback from the issuing bank or credit card company after receiving the purchased goods or services. Once approved, the chargeback cancels the financial transaction, and the consumer receives a refund of the money they spent. Dependent on the payment method used, the merchant can be accountable when a chargeback occurs.”
The “friendly Fraud” Simple forgetfulness, family members making unknown purchases, or an unclear merchant or product descriptor can all be at the root of friendly fraud.
The honest mistake might happen all the time and Ulama Institute is fully committed to customer satisfaction, so if you believe that any mistake happened or your account was mischarged please contact us at [email protected] so we can resolve the matter for you.
Both those types of behavior are illegal and prohibited by all payment providers as well as the ulama Institute.
Ulama Institute strictly prohibited “Friendly Fraud” and “chargeback”.
If either both is discovered in any user or Student’s Account, immediately the user or the student account and fund will be deactivated, the purchased fund will be confiscated, and the Student will be listed as a financial security risk, which will result in banning you from accessing our ulama Institute platform and services.
6- Instructor – student dispute
We highly recommend that the instructor and the student collaborate and communicate effectively to solve a dispute, both parties are the best people to handle and resolve a dispute. Sometimes, the student and instructor can not resolve the dispute on their own, and we were asked to mediate to resolve the matter.
Here is what you acknowledge and agree upon Ulama institute involvement in a dispute:
1- We will ask each party to present their case and the communication record.
2- We will investigate the matter and hear each side
3- At this point, Ulama Institute has the authority to resolve the dispute
4- Our final result will be final and more dispute over our resolved dispute
5- You agree that Ulama Institute has the right to refund, or cancel the transaction
Lessons can not be canceled at any time or rescheduled thereafter.
Otherwise, you are liable to be charged the full amount for the scheduled lesson, unless the tutor agrees not to charge you after a formal discussion.
We reserve the right for every tutor to charge the cost of the lesson that is canceled or marked not show, without the possibility of this amount being refunded to the Student or transferred to other tutors.
Change of a tutor
In case you decide
to use your right to change a tutor after the first lesson, you can only do this not more than 2 (two) times. In case you decide to change tutors more than 2 (two) times, the next first lesson with any other new tutor should be paid.
If the tutor doesn’t suit you or the lesson didn’t take place, we will guarantee you a free lesson with another tutor that you’ll choose on the site, or we will refund the payment immediately after submitting it. In case the tutor doesn’t suit your needs, or your scheduled lesson didn’t take place but was accidentally confirmed, you can ask us to refund or transfer these funds to another tutor within 3 days of the scheduled lesson’s start time.
Refunds
To make a refund the cancellation of the lesson(s) is required to be made 24 hours before the lesson is due to start.
If extenuating circumstances are meaning a lesson is missed or needs to be canceled at short notice, these refunds can be made at the tutor’s discretion, but there is no obligation on the tutor to do

Please contact your tutor in the first instance if you would like to be refunded. If you do not receive a response, please email [email protected] with the following information within 72 hours of the original lesson time:
• Date and time of the lesson
• Reason for requested refund
• Name of your tutor
The refund option will be available for your payment only for 90 (ninety) days from the date when your payment was made for all unconfirmed lessons. Ulama Institute is not responsible for any kind of fee charged by payment systems and will not cover it when initiating a refund. To the fullest.
extent permitted by law, any refunds at any time are at our sole discretion only.
In case you forgot to claim your refund during the stated period, you can still use these funds and buy the appropriate amount of hours with any other tutor.
In case you chose a refund option, the speed and availability of refunded funds on your bank account will depend solely on the terms and policies of your bank regarding the speed of transactions.
Your refund may be issued only once. If you buy another lesson(s) at a later time, it will not be subject to the same refund request.
No refund will be issued in case the user has lost and/or forgot his/her login credentials (username and passwords), which has resulted in the loss of data, temporary loss of access to the user’s account, or any other inconveniences for the user.
No refund will be issued in case the user has lost connection due to the absence of Internet access, factory reset, or updates.
Refund Procedure

The refund decision shall be made for up to 30 calendar days.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, any refunds at any time are at our sole discretion only.
Chargeback Related
In the event of a chargeback by a credit card company (or similar action by another payment provider allowed by us) in connection with your purchase of any lesson(s), you agree that we may suspend access to any accounts you have with us.
Fees, incurred as the result of chargebacks or other payment disputes brought by you, your bank, or a payment provider, and disputes that require accounting or legal services shall be covered by you.
Expired account
In case your last activity on Ulama Institute as of the last payment date is for more than 180 (one hundred eighty) days, your account will be considered expired and get deleted. Along with your account or profile, all personal data processed by Ulama Institute will be erased.
Deletion of an account
You may request to delete your Account at any time, however, there are no refunds for cancellation.
In case of Ulama Institute shall suspend or terminate your Account because of breach of any of our policies, you understand and agree that you shall receive no refund or exchange for any unused lessons or any portion of the Service, any content, or data associated with your account, or for anything else.
Payment Services
We use third-party payment services to bill you through an online account payment in the use of directly processing your credit/debit card information. Your paid balance for one or more lessons is safe in your account as we use an integrated iframe for checkouts from our partners-payment providers (Braintree, Stripe, PayPal) and tutors get paid for each confirmed lesson. Correspondingly all transactions are secured as our partners-payment providers use SSL encryption protection. All payment information is stored encrypted and securely by Stripe and PayPal service. We do not store your payment information on our servers.
Data provided by you
You agree and understand that billing information, which you provide to make payment for the lesson(s) through Ulama Institute, namely your credit card information and/or PayPal account information, is processed by our partners-payment providers ( Stripe, PayPal) only. Reply does not collect, store or otherwise process your billing information.
You agree that Ulama Institute will not be responsible for any failures of the third party to adequately protect such information. The processing of payments will be subject to the terms, conditions, and privacy policies of our partners-payment providers in addition to this policy.
You acknowledge that we may change our partners-payment providers and require them to transfer your information to other service providers that encrypt your information using secure socket layer technology (SSL) or other comparable security technology.
Payments and Taxes
Available payment methods through our Services are:
• Visa/Mastercard
• PayPal
• Apple Pay
All payments shall be made through the Services. Upon receiving payment from a Student (or a parent on a Student’s behalf), we ulama Institute will hold such payment and disburse it to the applicable tutor on a pro-rata basis on a per lesson basis. All Users agree that they will not sell or buy tutor services or materials from another User other than through our Services.
Tutors, Students, and parents will be liable for all transaction fees on the services related to the delivery and consumption of services through our Website.
Registering to become a user is free. Parties are responsible for paying all fees and applicable taxes associated with delivery and consumption of services through our Website, as well as for using the tools with a valid payment method. We charge tutors a commission for our Services. Tutor’s failure to pay required fees shall be a material breach of this Policy and Terms of Service.
Payouts
Tutors get paid for each confirmed lesson by a Student to their account on the platform. To make the payout tutors may use our third-party payment services (Stripe, PayPal) for the secured transactions. Please read more about the privacy and security of such transactions in our Privacy Policy.
